I have experienced a whole two weeks of motherhood and I feel like I have learned so much! Here are a few things...
- As soon as you change his diaper, he is guaranteed to poop within five minutes
- Sleeping at night is a thing of my past
- A breast pump is more valuable than I would have ever imagined!!
- What "engorgement" means!
- Hormones don't stop messing with you just because you are no longer prego
- Being on time is mission impossible
- A 'Hooter Hider' only works if someone does not accidentally lift it up and expose you to the whole room
- He loves me no matter how horrible my singing voice is or that I don't actually know the words to "Rock-a-by baby"
- Friends who bring dinners are amazing (thank you to all of you!!)
- A 6 pound little man can create more laundry than two full grown adults
- A two week old can make an amazing friend...I have so much fun with him.
- Single mothers are saints...I could never do this without Drew's help, he is a great dad!!

You're so cute!! We need some recent pics!! Did you decide on a blessing date?? I'm glad you are having so much fun with the little guy! We miss you! Ambs
How much sleep DO you get at night? Is he a pretty constant eater? My nephew eats every two hours, but he's a big boy and likes his food. Thankfully Christian takes after me in that he loves his sleep. We've been pretty lucky that he doesn't get up a whole lot during the night...
Haha..I love all the lessons learned...so true so true! I am so excited to meet the little guy tomorrow!
You're such a cute mama. You both looked great tonight and I am glad that he did a little better last night. Hang in there, you're doing an amazing job!
so it's 2:30 in the morning and me & my breast pump are sitting at the computer reading blogs and you seriously cracked me up. I'm glad you're enjoying each other in spite of engorgement and excess laundry. :)
Glad things are going well. Sounds like you're settling right in to the craziness that is Motherhood. You basically have to relinquish all control. Control of your breasts...and that'll be a pleasant surprise. You get sleep when the little guy says you get some sleep, you'll never eat a warm meal again and you'd never have thought you could love something tiny and helpless.
You are going to be a pro when I have my baby so you can tell me all the tricks. You are such a good mom. I still can't believe you have a baby.
I don't know if I feel privileged or embarrassed to have been apart of one of your "lesson's learned". I guess the "hooter hider" isn't 100% effective at "hiding" the "hooter". Can't wait to see more pictures of Maddux!
