well, i can just about gaurantee that if i entered a lottery to win a fabulous prize, i would never in a million years be picked as one of the winners, regardless of how many winners there were. but i entered the lottery to run the st. george marathon, fairly certain that i wouldn't get picked. wrong. i now have 146 days, 13 hours, 30 minutes and 51 seconds to get my butt in shape enough to attempt to run 26.2 miles! yikes! for starters...i'm going to the cheesecake factory for dinner tonight.
this may be tougher than expected!

I can't even bring myself to look at their website anymore because looking at the countdown makes me nervous. I can't believe we're doing this! Neither can my family. When I told them, they said, "I thought you hated running." I do, but I sure love the finish line! :)
If you run 26.2 miles you can eat all the cheesecake you want. After I have the baby and it's safe to run maybe I can go on your short runs with you.... very short runs. Congrats!
WOW! You guys are lucky. I don't know anyone else whose names were drawn! That'll be fun!
Running 26 miles seems like an odd prize to win to me. I think I'd rather have a toaster.
Just the same, good luck to you! I have the simple goal of three miles with out stopping. 5K baby!
That 's so awesome! I wanted to run it this year but I could possibly be having the baby around that time so I opted not to even enter. If not I'll be there cheering for family and friends. Maybe I'll run into you! Anyway, congrats and happy training!
OH WOW... that is crazy! GOOD LUCK GIRL!!!! We know you will do great ;o)
oh man, you are superwoman, because I don't think I could ever run 26 miles. I know you will do great. You should practice by running to our house! (Just kidding) Remember we went and watched you run at Tempe Town Lake? haha :0) Ah, the good old days...
Um, so today I ran a bigger loop around the neighborhood and felt like I had gone really far and done a pretty good run, but then I drove the route later and found out that I only ran a mile & 1/2 at about a 10 minute mile pace. I/we have work to do, Tarah. Lots of work to do.
Tarah-
How exciting!!! Ryan is also running this marathon, so maybe we'll see you there (I know there will be lots of people, but we'll look for you)!!! I love your blog and seeing what your adorable family is up to. I'm glad you had a great mother's day.

I'm proud of you cousin. What a good husband. I'm so glad you had a good mothers day Tara. You sound like you are a great mom.
So my friend just moved to Arizona and I was wondering what city you guys live in? She moved to Casa grande. How close are you to that city?
